Authentic B. sacra: colorless to pale yellow, clean resinous-terpene scent. GC-MS: alpha-pinene >50% is primary B. sacra identity marker (B. carterii typically 35-65%). Chiral GC-MS: B. sacra = (+)-alpha-pinene dominant vs B. carterii = (-)-alpha-pinene. Total monoterpenes >88% in fresh distillate. Oxidized oil: turpentine-harsh aroma.
Bảo quản
Store in dark glass, cool (10-15C), tightly sealed. Add vitamin E (0.5%) to extend opened shelf life. alpha-Pinene oxidizes rapidly — DO NOT use oxidized oil topically. Refrigeration acceptable; allow to reach room temp before use. High monoterpene content means significant evaporative loss if improperly sealed.
